Winter vacation in Denmark, 2003/4.

Our second vacation in Denmark took place during the winter of 2003/4, so that the kids could experience a real Danish winter.

We stayed in my parents' house for 6 weeks expanding the number of inhabitants from the normal 5-6 to 11-12. It was very lively.

The highlight of the vacation was the wedding of Helle and Kim on the 10th of January 2004. Here is Helle together with her three little bridesmaids Natasha, Kamila and Mathilde ready to go to the church.

Helle has made a homepage with lots of pictures from the party. See here.

My father had promised to make the wedding cake,  but he realized in time that such a project would be impossible with the house full of children all the time.

So this 5-story cake was made by the baker in Ry and it was both beautiful and delicious.

Another very important highlight was our trip to EuroDisney in Paris. January is absolutely low season there, so we got a great deal on a combined package with a little house in the forest on the David Crockett Ranch and four day passes to the Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park.

The big advantage of going there in January is that there are virtually no lines for the attractions.

Even Raphaela managed to walk around for 10 hours straight in the cold in Disneyland Park without getting cranky.

The David Crockett Ranch had some great tropical swimming pools where we warmed up after the cold days in the Disney Parks.

Here is Natasha learning to swim in the river with a strong current.
