PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE:

Chief Economist at Grupo Integral, La Paz, Bolivia, 2003-2006.

Coordinator of the 2006 Regional Human Development Report on Conservation and Development in Bolivia, United Nations Development Program, La Paz, Bolivia, January-October 2005.

Chief Economist at the Institute for Socio-Economic Research at the Catholic University of Bolivia, 1998-2003.

Founding editor of the Latin American Journal of Economic Development.

Has worked as a consultant for the World Bank, United Nations (UNDP, UNFPA, UNICEF, OMS), the Inter-American Development Bank, the German Development Bank, the Andean Development Bank, the Bolivian Ministry of Sustainable Development, the Bolivian Ministry of Education, Kiel Institute for World Economics, the North-South Institute, among others.
