To the right Helle is watching
Mathilde, Natasha, and Kamila enjoying the boat trip from Ry to Himmelbjerget.
Himmelbjerget means "Sky Mountain" and is one of the highest points in Denmark.
It is only 147 meters above sea level, though, and hardly even deserves to be called a
hill.
One of the important reasons for spending several months on vacation in Denmark was for
Natasha and Kamila to get to know the Danish part of their family. To the right are all
my grandmother's great-grandchildren together at a party in Vejle: Natasha, Mathilde, Ida,
Malthe, Marie and me holding the sleeping Kamila. |
My
parents are completely redoing their house and garden and we had some nice days with the
whole family working together in the garden. My father was very happy that he could
convince us to work for him all day instead of going to the wild animal park with the
kids.
Osvaldo and I went to Kiel for two weeks during the summer to work at Kiel Institute of
World Economics and left the kids in Denmark with their grandparents. The kids were happy
and my parents were also very happy to get a chance to get really close to their
grandchildren without the parents around. They took them out a lot to museums and
activities. To the left, Kamila and Natasha is enjoying the trampolins in Djurs Sommerland
together with their uncle Troels.
