 | Lykke has permanently changed from skis to snowboard. It is an absolutely superior way of moving yourself down a (snowcovered) mountain.
The lifts are a nightmare, however, as are places where the mountain is not sloping downwards. Then you are at the mercy of skiiers with poles to pull you forward. |
| Helle also tried the snowboard. She didn't find it quite as divine, however. I agree the first day can be a little tough on your knees, hands, and behind (I broke my left arm the first time I tried), but the returns after the first day are enourmous. |  |

My mother, however tried the snowboard, and she was actually very good right from the beginning. She could become a famous snowboarder, if she continued. It is definitely unusual to find 49 year old women on snowboard. |
